- Small-scale intervention (I) -

Along with the small-scale strategy, for the urban regeneration of Cali a bigger-scale intervention was needed. All the buildings developed also take part in the networks strategy of energy, water, recycling,... that emcompasses the two scales.
After researching the necessities of the district, we came up with the program that was missing for the public use.

For the development of the buildings themselves, we used a scaffolding structure for its flexibility and a system of layers for the configuration of the different spaces.

It permits the storage of crops of different tipology and dimension. The devices count on dispensers for the different categories, allowing its comercialization.

Solar tree

Captures solar energy during the day, thanks to the photovoltaic panels placedon top of the parasols. At night, they work as streetlights releasing the energy gained.

Solar kitchen

It is a "concentration" kitchen of parabolical shape whose operation is based on the reflection of the sun by using a reflective material, which allows cooking and heating food.

Eco turbine

It provides the city with working spaces thanks to the association of a vertical wind turbine with a steel structure. The use of renewable energies enhaces the importance of sustainability for citiziens.

Market furniture

Seeks to promote trade relations through an architectural support,that allows mobility and adapatability depending on user requirements

Detachable entertainment kit

It holds a number of programs related to entertainment. It can also compliment existing facilities (sport courts), hold drama shows or even provide with urban farming tools.

Water collector

It takes the water from the precipitations in Cali, filters and then stores it. It has a wide range of applications such as urban showers or fountains.
